Ponte Vedra Beach
Ponte Vedra Beach is a community in St. Johns County, Florida. Located eighteen miles southeast of downtown Jacksonville and 26 miles north of St. Augustine, it is part of the Jacksonville Beaches area. It is an upmarket resort area best known for its association with golf. The Sawgrass development is the home of the ATP Tour,
the PGA Tour, and The Players Championship, played at the TPC at Sawgrass.
The beaches here are very residential and have limited access to the public. Wedding choices on Ponte Vedra consist beaches behind vacation rentals, Mickler's Landing or Guana State Park. The sand on Ponte Vedra beach is very unique and full of shells and sharks teeth. There are very few commercial buildings on the beach and the normal view consists of large beach estates. A truly beautiful spot for a beach wedding.
Ponte Vedra Beach has a permit fee of $100.
